Inspiring Nostalgia

personal musings of a native Torontonian, currently living in Philadelphia. she predicts she will turn into Emily Gilmore when she gets older.

La Casa de la Sal - CandelarioSpain

I had to look up this town in google maps but otherwise, I’m checking into this hotel as soon as possible.  The decor is that perfect use of neutrals in a traditional Spanish home - IN

Happy Monday, darlings!

I always love photos of beautiful Spanish country homes. There is something so relaxed yet formal and comforting yet fashionable about these spaces.

To start every week with breakfast in this garden would be divine.

Have a marvelous week! - IN

I was simultaneously swooning and reminiscing when I read this post. It was like she was on the same trip I was!  Inspiring nostalgia, indeed - IN

A very special post for M who is flying to England today.
Safe travels and lots of hugs for the year ahead.
*photo of San Sebastian, taken by M - my photos of the beach made the day look overcast. This is quite perfect.

Last night, I had a dream that started at the Prado where I stood looking at Goya’s two Maja paintings. Then the dream sped through the last 15 hours of my stay in Madrid.
I told my travel buddy about this and he remarked, “that was quite like our last day [there].”
